world and funding research to find
a cure for paralysis.

Since our first distribution in Uganda in 2014, we have delivered over 3,300 wheelchairs and trikes throughout the country. Click below to watch the film and learn about the impact of our work in the region.

In October 2022, we returned to the Dominican Republic to distribute 200 wheelchairs to kids in need together with our partner, CAID. Click below to learn more.

In May 2022, we returned to Uganda to distribute 320 wheelchairs and 50 tricycles with our partners, World Action Fund and Hope Health Action. Click below to learn more about the distribution.

Since opening our unique Wheelchair Assembly and Repair Centre in Nanyuki, Kenya in 2018, we have become the largest wheelchair provider in the country. There, we give employment to 17 locals, 6 of whom are our past beneficiaries. Click below to watch a short film about the centre and meet our local staff!

In 2021, we built the HHA Walkabout Wheelchair Distribution Centre in Haiti together with our partner, Hope Health Action. Our centre will provide Haiti with a regular and sustainable supply of wheelchairs, transforming hundreds of lives every year and becoming the single largest wheelchair provider in the country!

Since 2010, we have invested $1.9 million in ground-breaking research that aims to reduce and reverse the effects of Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI). We are currently funding Northwestern University’s “Functional Restoration after Spinal Cord Injury by Hebbian and Transcutaneous Spinal Stimulation” study at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab.
