The Catizone Family’s London Walkabout 2014

We are so thrilled to be taking part in this year’s London Walkabout. Please support this amazing cause as we walk 5k with the Walkabout Foundation on September 27th in Hyde Park!

Dina De Luca’s WALK ON THE WILD SIDE

I am so excited to be taking part in this 5k Halloween walk around Regent’s Park for Walkabout Foundation to send wheelchairs to people in need around the world. Please sponsor my walk.

Matthias Stanisic’s 3 Peaks Challenge

The challenge is to climb the three highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours, from Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England to Mount Snowdon in Wales.

I have decided to do this in support of a good cause, namely to give people who suffer from paralysis an opportunity to lead a dignified and fulfilled life.

The donations will be invested in the purchase of a wheelchair every 200GBP buying one!

Thank you for your support in changing lives!

Join us for a 15 kilometer walk on Saturday June 18th at 10:00 am (with an option of doing a shorter 5k walk) around Hyde Park, Green Park, and St. James’s Park to raise money to donate wheelchairs to people in need in the developing world.

The walk will commence at Hyde Park’s Band Stand. Email [email protected] to register. You will receive all details in an email once you’ve registered.

It’s free to join the walk but we encourage participants to fundraise any amount they can, whether its £200 pounds (or $300 dollars) for an entire wheelchair or just a few pounds for wheelchair parts. KX GYM is our headline sponsor, which means 100 percent of all funds raised go directly to the cause. Here’s what the money you raise can buy:

£10 = front wheel
£21 = back rest
£30 = main frame

Dot Pinkney’s London Walkabout 2011

I am doing a 15 kilometer walk on Saturday June 18th at 10:00 am around Hyde Park, Green Park, and St. James’s Park to raise money to donate wheelchairs to people in need in the developing world.

I am hoping to raise £200 or $300 for an entire wheelchair. It would be amazing to think that we have collectively given someone that freedom and independence.

Here is an example of what your donations will mean to someone:

£10 ($16) = front wheel
£21 ($34) = back rest
£30 ($49) = main frame

Please note that you should enter the number in $ but £ will come out of your account. You need Paypal to donate, which is easy to set up if you don’t already have an account.
