Camino de Santiago 2016

  • April 01 2016

To read more about the Camino de Santiago and when we launched in 2009, visit Co-Founder Carolina’s blog posts.

The Camino de Santiago is an ancient pilgrimage dating back to the 9th century. Co-Founders, Luis and Carolina launched Walkabout doing the full 870 kilometre route and Luis became the first person in history to cross Spain using only the strength of his arms.

This year tread in the footsteps of our Co-Founders and thousands of other pilgrims and walk for those who can’t. You can do as little or as much of the route as you like – so whether you’re looking for a spiritual journey or Europe’s most iconic hike in breath-taking countryside, this unforgettable experience is for you!

The pilgrimage runs throughout the whole year but we recommend you go between April and October for the mildest weather

Please note that there is no minimum fundraising target for this event, simply email us at info@walkaboutfoundation.org if you would like to know more
